Affiliate Marketing Success Post: Status Update 1st Qtr.

Just a quick little post about Success Stories!

I’ve written many articles about Wealthy Affiliate, and that it’s an educational forum for those who are active in both Internet and Affiliate Marketing. In addition to learning, and talking about blogs and websites, many of the members here at Wealthy Affiliate share their success stories from time to time. This is one way to keep others motivated and inspired to continue until they, too, reach their goals of success. In this article, I will be sharing my status update and listing my current earnings from Internet and Affiliate Marketing for the 1st quarter of 2016.

So, How Much Do YOU Make?

But, first, let me explain why people are hesitant to share their earnings:

Other people, newbies, in particular, may think they too can earn the same in a short period of time, while knowing nothing about SEO or how to build a website, even if they are in a different niche and rarely post.

This is the danger, and this is why members are reluctant to share earnings.

There are many factors that come into play when becoming an Internet / Affiliate Marketer:

Which Niches are More Successful than others?
How much Time can you spend per week?
Do you have Your Own Product or Service?
Do you have Approved Affiliate Vendors and Affiliate Links Ready?
Do you write pretty well? Can you hold attention?
Do you have a Command of the Language you will be using?
Can you Apply what you’ve learned by yourself?
Are you Persistent?
Are you Focused?
Are you surrounded by Negative People?
Will you Keep Going or Will You Quit?

The list goes on…

So, What’s The Bottom Line?

The basic message is this: Each person is different. Some can spend more time than others, some can write better than others, and some can be distracted by “shiny object syndrome,” family, “other employment,” or a myriad of other things. So, when someone asks a member “what do YOU earn,” please understand that their answer may not provide an accurate snapshot of the possible earnings that YOU COULD possibly earn.

Don’t get me wrong, there are many blog owners posting their earnings on their blogs, but to answer the question “what will I earn,” no-one can really answer that question, truthfully anyway. Some earn small amounts, and some earn over six figures a year.

First Quarter Results 2016

All we can do is post what I call “Success Stories.” So, without further ado, here is my First Quarter Results for 2016. (Yes, I’m a bit early. I will come back and amend the amounts to the end of the month.) Please also know that I have not been hitting my writing goals as often as I had hoped, so, while I work on that, these are my current reasons to “keep going!”

Earnings Are All Over The Map

As you may have noticed by now, we are basically all over the map in terms of earnings. And, this is why no-one can give anyone a straight answer to their, very natural, question: “How Much Can I Make?”

Some of us are just getting started, some of us had set-backs (yours truly), some only want to work part-time and keep their day job, some of us choose niches that are too small, some choose niches that are way too big, etc., etc., So, in short, Internet and Affiliate Marketing Success really does depend on “you.”

And, Some Final Questions

I’m wondering what brought you to this article today. Do you already have a business? Is it an online business or a brick and mortar business? Do you have a website? Do you want to start a website or a blog to either help market your business or start an online business?

Do you already have a favorite topic, is your “niche” chosen, or would you like to see if there’s any demand for what you’d like to do?
