I work online. How Much Do You Think I Get Paid?

Well, assuming this were a “regular” or “traditional” part-time job online, I’ve seen actual and legitimate job offers that range anywhere from a few dollars per hour to hundreds, but then, those people who are paid well are really running their own businesses – that’s their job.

So, let’s just assume that you are basically a “newbie” with either little to no online or computer work experience, but you have knowledge, experience, or a keen interest in one area. So, taking that into consideration, let’s write this hypothetical out further.

If you are just wanting some extra money for the month, or let’s say for the sake of this example, a couple of hundred dollars per month to help make ends meet, and knowing the minimum time needed to achieve this, then it’s safe to assume that you would be willing to:

Work at least two days per week for at least two hours = 4 hours per week – Right?
4 hours x 4 weeks (rounded) in each month = 16 hours – Right?
And, you’d be happy with $200 a month / 16 hours = $12.50 per hour (Gross) – Right?

Hi – You ordered online? May I have a tip? …Please?

Don’t forget that this is a gross (before taxes) wage, and also don’t forget that when people work at “traditional” jobs, they only get paid once for the work done once – Right?

Is this a fair assumption?

Well, what if I told you that the part-time jobs I know about could pay you more than that? What if I told you that – eventually – you could be paid while not even working? Initially: There is a training and building phase first. This is why it is not likely that you will be paid during this time of getting trained and up and running. Once you’re established, and have learned the basics, you will be off and running to begin your part-time job online. Although there are people who have begun earning some money within one to three months, this is unusual. It really does depend on your time and effort spent.

Once Established: You will be conducting and gathering enough research and knowledge to be able to write a short article (a minimum of 400 or 500 words) about a specific topic of your choosing. You may be purposely enjoying a particular passion of yours so that you may write about it later. You will be occasionally, or however often you wish, researching and/or writing about your chosen area of expertise, experience, or special interest topic or niche and posting that article to a blog that you built from scratch. You “should,” though not necessary, also incorporate your articles into any time spent on social media as well. For example, I wrote this article on this specific topic to reach out to those people who are searching for part-time jobs online in order to help them realize what exactly this is about and to present to them the opportunity that is well within their reach. I will also be sharing this article on well-established social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Pinterest, and LinkedIn. These are all free – they don’t cost a dime.

Using SEO (Search Engine Optimization) techniques, and sharing on social media platforms increases the likelihood that people will see my article. In other words, I’ll gain natural traffic, and in the world of affiliate marketing, aka “blogging,” traffic = $money$.

I have enough training and experience now to have this article show up in various search engines naturally. I didn’t pay for any ads, rankings, placements, or anything in order to capture your attention, and yet, here you are reading this. So, no, there are really no extra costs. Of course, you “could” pay for ads. Facebook will happily take your money! But, no, paying for ads is not at all necessary in order to build a well-established blog site. I choose not to – for this site anyway. All I did was add this article to my blog using my well-researched key words chosen for this article.

So, in case you’re wondering, this “job” is not really a “job” in the traditional sense. This job doesn’t entail working for someone else and helping them gain wealth by you working once and getting paid once for that work. This job is about you. Well, the short answer is “it depends.” It depends on your determination, it depends on your initiative, it depends on your persistence, it depends on your willingness to learn, it depends on your ability to self-direct / self-manage, it depends on your decisiveness, it depends on your basic computer skills, your command of your language, your niche, your time and effort and how quickly you can join affiliate offers, etc. In short, it depends on YOU. There are blog owners earning anywhere from a few hundred dollars per month, to well over $10,000 per month.

There are blog owners who have been doing this for quite some time and are earning well over six figures a year. Yes, it’s possible. It’s quite possible. There are Wealthy Affiliate members who are earning $3,000 to $5,000 to $10,000 a month regularly, and are currently building more blogs. We, generally speaking, work from home, cafes, libraries, the beach, the lake, in the yard, by the pool, or anywhere we’re comfortable.
