Ok, again, sorry for the delay. I’ve had more injuries and recurring injuries over this past spring and summer. I truly do apologize for being away for so long…. In any case, I’m back, and here is my ninth installment of the Wealthy Affiliate Journal.
Wealthy Affiliate Course 4, Lesson 7
Since we left off at Course 4, Lesson 7 of the Wealthy Affiliate course, we’ll pick this up there. Course 4 is all about social engagement, and Lesson 7 reminds those of us who are premium (monthly) members have the ability to earn affiliate income even if we post to the WA forum. In essence, all of our posts in the forum get ranked in Google, and they have the ability to reach people who may be searching for that relevant content. In short, if we garner traffic, for whatever reason, and a visitor eventually joins Wealthy Affiliate as a result of reading our post, then the post creator will receive the affiliate commission. So, basically, it’s another avenue to generate affiliate revenue by participating in the forum! Another “win/win” reason why Wealthy Affiliate is a great place to learn how to make money online – while making money online.
In Lessons eight through ten, the importance of Social Media and Networking, in general, is emphasized. We are reminded to use Facebook, Twitter, Google +, and Pinterest – among others. In addition to that, we are again reminded to use the Wealthy Affiliate forum to network, engage, post tutorials, respond to others, share other member’s posts, and continue to help out in any way. And, lastly, while social media is a great way to grow your site, we are also reminded not to over use it, abuse it, and allow it to waste our time. We need to keep focused and create more than we socialize.
Wealthy Affiliate Course 5 – The Final Course!
In course five, the lessons begin with reiterating how important good content is to your blog. The lessons then go over Google’s Webmaster Tools, writing with goals, using a plan, writing with intent, and finally, how to submit your site to both Bing and Yahoo for further search engine optimization techniques. Course five then ends by asking you for your goals, and how important it is to make not only monthly or annual goals, but weekly and day to day goals that will help you achieve the success you seek.
Wealthy Affiliate Summary:
All in all, this whole course will definitely teach people not only how to make money online, but how to learn – using the most basic steps. Many people are not tech savvy, and they need to learn more about computers, in general, along with the methods being used, how to leave comments, write content, network, and engage. Perhaps, what is most fascinating to me is how many success stories I’ve read about other members. We have many newbies who have never written a blog post, didn’t know a thing about web-sites, or how to set up a web-site, never mind a blog, and now, I’ve recently read about how some are making anywhere from $2,000 to $5000 a month within a year’s time.
While I, personally, cannot provide my “financial stats” because I fell far short of my financial goals within my six month time-frame due to all my injuries, I do know that with a renewed commitment to myself, I too, will achieve the financial freedom that I seek as well. I just have to remain – in GREAT health and injury free!
I will be writing my final Wealthy Affiliate Journal entry soon. It will be in the form of a Wealthy Affiliate Review, so, please check back!
